So first we have my cats who are 1, we got them from this lady down the road from us. Origanlly we were looking to get a dog, we even went to a animal shelter and saw the sweetest little dog. I can't remember his name but I hope he found his forever home. How we found the cats was through Facebook, yes the power of Facebook! My sister Erin came across this ad from one of her friends for kittens. Apparently it was her friends mums kittens. The lady found the kittens in her shed and the mum we believe ran off. Which is sad, and I think she believes her cat might the father. So I guess essentially my cats were strays and they weren't born 'for us' , if that makes sense. So Erin, my mum and I went to go visit the kittens for the first time. We first had chosen which kitten to get from the photo but that kitten had hissed and didn't look to friendly but luckily there was 3 other kittens to chose from. At first we were only going to get one but I managed to convince my mum and as the lady was only asking for £10 each kitten it wasn't too expensive to have another. And so Ashton and Finn became ours! When we got the cats we thought they were 6 weeks and both boys, but a trip to the vet told us they were about 4weeks and girls! We kept the names because everyone including the cats had got used to those names. They were so tiny and even now they are quite small compared to most cats. I think being apart from such an early age may have stunted them in ways as well as their size. But I still love them! Finn is my mums baby and Ash, well she just relaxes on my mums bed.

Our newest addition is Pearl
She's so cute. Pearl is a labradoodle and her fur in the picture looks cream but in person her fur is actually apricot. We've had a few weeks now and she's now allowed out for walks! As we've only had Pearl a few weeks we haven't seen everything to Pearl so maybe in a few months time I'll do a catchup with Pearl!
And that's it for my pets!
Now as for me I've been addicted to switched at birth, so much so that well I've just finished up the boxsets on sky and am up to date! If you don't know what switched at birth is, it's an American TV show where this one girl Bay, has always felt different to the rest of her family. So when one day her school does a blood type test and it comes back as a blood type that her parents dispute isn't right, she soon finds out that she as a baby in the baby ward was switched with a baby called Daphne. What I found truly refreshing about this show was that Daphne is deaf along with other characters like Emmett(Daphne's best friend and Bay's boyfriend in future episodes) and goes to a deaf school. Even more cool is that some of the actors playing the deaf/hard of hearing characters are either deaf or hard of hearing. Also it has Lucas grabeel in, I mean my 8 year old self is fangirling!( for people who don't know, he was Ryan in high school musical). Its just really cool seeing disability being brought into the mainstream and the use of sign language and lip reading. The mention of cochlear implant caught my attention as well since my niece is going to be having the operation to receive a cochlear as she is severely deaf.
