Starring Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Kate Winslet, Miles Teller and Ansel Elgort and more, it's the second movie of the book to movie series Divergent.
Now being a massive fan of the books and film, I'd been saying for months we have to go to the premiere, especially as I missed the premiere for Divergent. My mum and went at 9:30 and got Leicester Square at 11:00 as the taxi we took from kings cross seemed to take a long time. When we got there, I'll admit there was less people then I expected, we were directed to speak to Duncan, who I think was from Eone. He said we didn't need wristbands and that the disabled zone was yet to be built so come back at 1pm my mum and I thought "what are we going to do for 3 hours?" Because it's not enough to time for us to go somewhere in London but there's not much to do in Leicester Square with not much money.
So me and my mum went in to M&M world, ironically they were playing Echosmiths "cool kids" to which I freaked out. Total fangirl moment! I've never been to more then the entrance floor of the m&m world so it was cool because we went downstairs to where the m&ms on Abbey Road is. My mum and I got our photo taken. We also bought my niece Daisy some shoelaces as she is currently learning how tie her shoelaces. I also bought a little m&m figure dressed like a beefeater. I also made one of those penny things where you put a penny in and turn the handle and it comes out shaped into a cool souvenir penny.
Because we still had a tonne of time before Duncan said to be back by, my mum and I decided to get something to eat. Pizza hut! The waitress looked at me like I was mad when I asked for a half/half large pizza for myself. But to be fair I did end up boxing a lot of it up but I was going to be in leicester square for ages and just in case I felt peckish. So by the time we headed back to wait it out it was 1:50, by the time we'd finished eating and went to the bathroom in M&M world because the toilets in pizza hut were down a flight of stairs. While waiting I met two girls called Georgie and Georgia who were really cool and nice, and had a sign,I wish I'd thought to bring a sign! We just sat and chatted, which made the time fly by. (almost lol!) As well as another lady called Margaret we seemed to be the only people waiting for the disabled area and then gradually more people started showing up including two more lovely ladies named Megan and Ellie. I was amazed at how many people everyone had met! So finally the pens were ready and we moved into our area, it ended up being me and my mum behind me, Georgie and Georgia behind her, and Megan and Ellie behind her, which made it even more cool and fun because we just sat talking. It made what had already been a long day fun. We even made a plan of just take pictures of everything and we will send each other the photos. Then finally after all the prep, the premiere began. Suprisingly for a world premiere, only two of the stars of the movie, Shailene Woodley and Theo James attented, alongside the author of the trilogy of young adult novels Veronica Roth. Fun fact about Veronica Roth, I believe she wrote the Divergent trilogy in college whilst learning about psychology and sociology. Actually there wasn't actually that many people there at all really. Which as it was dubbed 'World Premiere' was a bit odd. But anyway, Veronica Roth was the first one to near us, the stars came from the right side of the odeon making it risky for anyone on the left side as the entrance to the cinema was before us so if they wanted to they could just bypass us by heading straight in. Which sadly is what Veronica Roth did, but its okay, I still love ya Veronica Roth, I mean it was cold and she did have a dress that didnt look like it was keeping her warm on. It just made it seem like we weren't going to see anyone. But down Shailene Woodley came down in such a beautiful dress and her hair was just amazing, she seemed like she too was just going to walk straight in but hurrah she came to the disabled area....... And I met Shailene Woodley!!!! I also got her autograph. By the way #Sheo all the way, I mean they came in the same car and aww the photos of them together!
Then Theo James came down the carpet and he came to the disabled area..... And I met Theo James!!! and got his autograph, score 2 for my Insurgent book. Georgia and Georgie and I even got a photo together with him, which I thought was soo cool, thanks to Georgia and Georgie for letting me in on the photo!

And then the premiere was over although some of the security were handing out tickets to go see the movie as well. They handed a few out to people down our end which I thought was really nice especially as the stars didn't go further then us. My mum said that some people were crying because they hadn't seen anyone so it was nice they got tickets to see the movie. I also met a lady named Regina, so I wonder how she got on at the premiere, I hope she met Theo and Shai.
Before we left, my mum, Georgie, Georgia, Megan, Ellie and I all got a group photo taken! It was really nice as premieres can be quite solitary and as much as people promise they will take your photo and send it to you, they never do. It was nice to meet genuinely lovely people and we all did a bit of photo swapping! So now thats quite a few friends I've made from premiers, including Fran who I met at the Twilight: Breaking Dawn part 2 premiere. We even met Stephanie Meyer together!
Then we got our movie boards and off we toddled home, I did get a few funny looks on the train with the board. It was even bigger than the normal ones you can get at premieres, a little boy on the train even said that's so cool, so little boy on the train your a cool kid and you've got good taste!
All in all it was a great day!, I'm hoping to see the movie in a couple of weeks when it's out so I will probably write a review of the movie when I see it!
Until next time
Sophie
