January & February favourites!

Evening all, I normally don't do monthly favourite posts but this month (and January) has been filled with new things that I have discovered or bought that I have loved. Some of these things are new favourites and some are things I have planned to buy for ages, so knew I was going to love.

So to start off with my fashion favourites :

I recently bought some Converse trainers, which I have meant to buy forever. So I am now in love with them, although as they are white its a slight difficulty to keep them clean, I'm used to only black shoes!

Since most of my photos are on my camera which I'm waiting
for my new laptop to upload my photos on to.

My next favourite is a River Island bag my best friend Kevin bought for my birthday.
I was desperately in need of a new bag, I had two bags beforehand. One from new look which I have had for ages and one from Primark which I've had for a few years. One is too small now and the other is a bit too big for everyday use. My new bag is the perfect in between size and good for everyday use.
I love this bag, its the perfect size for my daily use.

I have bought a lot of new clothes and a pair of boots as I had money from Christmas and my Birthday but I haven't included them all because well then we would be here forever

My Tv favourites :

Now recently I have been using Netflix a lot more, which I don't really do. I mean I got it thinking when I get my laptop I'll use it more. Because at the minute we have one laptop, which is technically my mums, between all of us. Which can result in arguments but that's another story!! But recently I have started trying out Manga and Anime, which I never knew its almost like soaps in Japanese, in the sense that it is mainstream in Japan whereas its more of a niche culture in Britain and also America.
Fairy Tail (2014)

One series I have started and quite like is Fairytale. I also started watching Attack on Titan, which I enjoy but I find it a little creepy. I have to watch it in small doses!!
I like Fairytale as its more up beat I guess you could say, I've noticed you can tell the type of series it is by the music. Like in Fairytale, its a lot of upbeat music, joyful. Whereas in Attack on Titan, its a lot of sudden changes in the music and a lot of bangs of a drum indicating danger!

Another tv favourite of mine, which has now slowly turned out to be one of my all time favourites now, is Orphan Black.

Okay if anyone who has watched Orphan Black is reading this you know what I'm talking about when I say its soo good! I remember when it first started on BBC 3, I didn't really pay much attention but I kinda wish I had now. I mean Tatiana Maslany, she is so good at what she does. Its crazy to think one person could make you actually believe all these characters are different people. Like it warps your mind! Also Paul I kinda liked, even though I knew he was a bit dodge. Can I just say if I didn't know Tatiana Maslany was Canadian I would totally of believed she was British, she pulled it off amazingly well. Same with Jordan Gavaris who plays Felix, I genuinely thought he was British until I saw a video of him at the Orphan Black Comic Con panel. I genuinely was stumped! I love this show because like with Paul, you cant genuinely say some of the characters are bad people or that characters are good characters, its not black and white. Okay now I am going too deep, I just genuinely love this show, I mean I watched the first two seasons on Netflix and then proceeded to buy them and the 3rd season and finished them pretty much 3 days after, I cant wait for the 4th! I really liked Paul, even though he was kind of a bad person! Donny and Alison though, I love them they are just hilarious! Helena is just scarily amazing and Cosima is just so cool. Although my favourite has to be Sarah and Felix The dark humour of the show balances out the seriousness of the show, the one liners alway get me laughing! Its now become one of my all time favourite shows. Check out the trailer and see why its amazingly good. If you are a fan of orphan black, comment below and we can literally fangirl/Fanboy about it together!
Sorry thats my inner fangirl!

Book favourites, I have two.

Inferno by Catherine Doyle. I mean do I need to explain this more?!

My second favourite book I started it about a week ago, I'm halfway through and its just beautiful,

Its Me Before You by Jojo Moyes. I saw the trailer for the movie of this and I thought I've got to read the book of this before the movie. I mean the movie has Sam Claflin and Emilia Clarke in, need I say more?
Like I said started this book last week as recently I've been in a bit of a book slump so I'm hoping this book will help. although I sort of feel it won't because its one of those books that send you into a reading slump because its so good. I'm on chapter 16  and I currently really like it! heres my Goodreads if you want to see what I think of it, free promo hehe , I am also going to do a review when I have finished.

Random faves

Now I didn't know where to put these favourites because they were almost lone favourites.

I have recently been loving two perfumes, one a perfume I hardly spent any money on and one that is quite high end. Victoria Beckham's Intimately perfume which I got for £10 in Boots, unfortunately I don't think they sell it anymore,as I bought it quite a while ago. It has consistently been the perfume I reach for most, my mum likes it as well.

The more high end one I bought is Daisy Dream 30ml, I have always wanted a Daisy by Marc Jacobs perfume as I like the smell of them and the bottles are so pretty. But they do come with a hefty price tag so when I first lost out to Adele tickets, I decided that day was the day I was going to buy a Daisy perfume. I bought Daisy Dream as that was the only one that did it in the 30ml size and I didn't want to get the bigger size as it was way too much money for me. Then for my 18th birthday my aunts bought me a gift set of the Daisy Dream perfume, which I was soo excited for as yknow I love that perfume. It felt like one of those 'you wait for one bus and two come at once' moments, I'm saving the shower gel and body lotion I got in the gift set for a special occasion.

My next favourite has to be my camera,

I love it. It takes really clear pictures and the zoom on it is amazing. I've managed to take some amazing pictures with it, the screen is a massive help as I cant see through the view finder. The flip out screen also helps if I want to take a picture, with me in it, and I don't know if I'm aiming it right. I don't think that made sense!

Now my final favourite, I became the proud owner of just this morning is my Macbook Pro 13inch!!
(I would have a picture of it but I'm still working on getting my camera photos on to a blog post)

I having been saving up since just before christmas for this and well today I bought it. I was planning to get the 15inch macbook pro latest model from apple but I decided since I had the money to get the 13inch November 2015 model from curry/pc world. My mum and I both agree that whilst it may not be the most newest model, its better suited to me as its thicker so I am less likely to drop it and it has a cd drive so saves me having to bring extra things with me to be able to do what I want. Also it has a
memory card slot which is even better because it means I don't have to buy a memory card reader and I can just upload my photos simply to my laptop! I'm in love and I've had it less than 24 hours. If you're planning on getting a macbook, think about buying it from places besides Apple. You still get insurance and protection and its usually cheaper and you may even get some freebies and offers. Like I bought mine from curry/pc world and I got a free 2TB storage on their cloud for free and I got insuarance cover and I got £10 off the original price. I as much as I like the idea and I guess the ability to say, I got mine from the Apple store but it is mega expensive, especially for me.

I know its been a long time since I posted anything but now that I have my macbook I will be much more active. So much so I am committed to posting at least once a week, fingers crossed! I am also starting up a youtube channel, yes I'm joining the trend! haha but it will be just like my blog, music, books, life updates only in a video instead. Which is very exciting, i'm hoping to be able to persuade some of my friends to join me in a video too!

Hope your having a lovely week,
I have a few exciting things coming up in the next two months which I will be posting about and i'm really excited about them!
Until next time
Thanks for reading,
Sophie
